About Us

Claudia Jones Organisation champions Inspired Black Womanhood through advice, support and personal development services to facilitate social change and progress amongst the African Caribbean heritage community. Black Womanhood encapsulates the strength, capability and independence that Black women seek.

It frames their survival in the context of the survival of their community where the fate of women and that of men are inextricably linked.

Who We Are

We are a small team of staff and volunteers dedicated to supporting the women, families and communities we work with our staff and volunteers work as part of our:

  • Family Support Team
  • Gender Based Violence Team
  • Elders and Community Team

Our Trustees

The Claudia Jones Organisation is governed by a Management Committee of Trustees who bring a wealth of experience and being of and understanding of the experiences of the communities we serve. 2019

We aim to provide a holistic and therapeutic response to the multiple and intersecting (race, gender, class) issues affecting women

Every day, our values guide our conversations, decisions and interactions. We are about building relationships and resilience, empowerment, interdependence, Caribbean cultural awareness and history, responsibility. We demonstrate our values through our commitment to community legacy, diversity and integrity.
